We believe that we have an assignment as a church to provide a space for the old school and the new to meet in unity. Our inter generational and multi ethnic focus is cultivated from Acts 2. When the promised Holy Spirit was released a community was formed. This community was centered around both the teaching of the apostles (salvation & hope through Jesus Christ) and fellowship.
We believe in community over activities. We believe in living first then leading. We believe that church isn’t another thing to fit into our schedule - it’s a gift we’ve been given - to grow in relationship with God and others.
Our services are designed with everyone in mind. Our messages will always be developed around the truth of scripture with the purpose of inspiring congregants to know and follow Jesus and live life intentionally.
What does this mean for you? Most importantly, you're always welcome at Story Collective Church. We're saving a seat for you. Wherever you are in your faith, you'll always be welcomed to Story Collective Church.

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
- 2 Timothy 3:16-17
The Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God for the Christian faith. It is without error in its original documents. Although culture changes, the Word of God does not, and we will continue to derive our beliefs and way of life from the Bible alone.
For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” - Romans 8:14-15
We believe in God the Father, in whose holy presence we exist at all times. Even in our broken world, we know the Father is in control. Out of His love for us, He orchestrated and carried out the plan of salvation and is still actively working out His plans today. We as His children are invited to live in a direct, personal relationship with Him.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. - John 3:16-17
We believe in God the Son, the Lord Jesus, in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His death to forgive our sins, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal future return in power and glory.
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you. - John 14:16-17
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin and who lives inside every follower from the moment of salvation. The Holy Spirit leads and comforts God’s followers, and empowers and equips them with gifts to serve in the church.
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. - Romans 3:23-25
All of us are broken, and our sin has separated us from God. There is nothing that we can do to be saved, but our salvation is only possible by what Jesus has done for us on the cross. We are saved by God’s grace through faith when we invite Jesus to forgive our sin and surrender leadership of our lives to Him.
And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life. - Matthew 25:46
All of us will spend eternity somewhere. All of those who have surrendered their lives to Jesus will spend eternity with each other and Jesus living in a renewed, restored earth. Those who refused to submit to and follow Jesus will spend eternity separated from God in eternal anguish.
And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. - Acts 2:42
Every believer is called to join together with a local church to experience community, to encourage one another, to be led into a deeper relationship with God, and to partner with the church to accomplish the God-given mission of reaching the entire world with the love of Jesus.
And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.” - Acts 2:38-39
Baptism through immersion (Acts 8:36-39) is a public confession of a believer showing his allegiance with Christ. It is a picture of a believer, joining with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection to a new life (Rom. 6:1-11). It is also a sign of identification with the visible body of Christ (Acts 2:41-42). The act of baptism alone does not save an individual; believers are saved by God’s grace through faith in Jesus (Ephesians 2:8-9). Baptism is an official ceremony where a believer declares their faith in Jesus.
For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes. - 1 Corinthians 11:26
The Lord’s Supper, or Communion, is the church practice that was instituted and commanded by Christ by which believers remember and proclaim Christ’s death until He comes. The elements are representatives of the flesh and blood of Christ and they must be taken in a worthy manner. An individual should examine himself thoroughly before partaking in this church practice
(1 Cor. 11:28-32).
All believers should take the Lord’s Supper on a regular basis in order that the Gospel of Jesus Christ would not be forgotten.
