I never know the exact word that sums up “who I am”.
I’m a wife, mom, worship leader, speaker, writer and mentor.
But, if I could sum up my life’s mission it would be
“To use my words and my voice to invite people into knowing Jesus and living confidently on purpose.”
Many of my childhood dreams came true in my 20’s & 30’s as I traveled the country/world with Dorinda Clark Cole, Karen Clark Sheard, The Clark Sisters, Kierra Sheard, Deitrick Haddon, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, and more as a background vocalist.
Now I’m living out another part of my purpose as a pastor and mentor to younger leaders. I love sharing out of my friendship with God, life experiences and the creative gifts I’ve been given.
Sam Wimer
Sam Wimer is an Audio Engineer, Content Creator, and Solo Recording Artist from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Sam started writing and recording music with humble beginnings. He started back when he was 13 on whatever he could get his hands on. Creating and sharing music with others quickly became not only a pass-time, but a fully fledged goal of his. Sam went in to pursue music into higher education. Both through Classical Saxophone, and Audio Engineering. After graduating from The Blackbird Academy in Nashville, TN, Sam released his first fully-fledged EP, Fractals EP Which led to a deeper understanding and discovery of what music means to him, and what he was capable of. Over the course of the next three years, Sam was featured on two singles from the artist GeoVoc which garnered even more drive to continue to create. Sam Wimer’s first fully fledged album Fervent puts a definitive scope on his capability as a solo artist and his ability to transform experiences into music. Crafting the album for 2 years, Sam patiently made his return as a recording artist.
Ashantay Young
Ashantay Young is a classically trained vocalist, voice teacher, and singer-songwriter. She attended Pittsburgh Creative Arts School, where she studied Classical, Jazz, Gospel, and musical theater with her voice coach, Jazz Vocalist, and actress Etta Cox. Ashantay has a passionate and diligent approach to teaching and coaches people of all ages and musical backgrounds. She has a strong passion for choirs and choral music and has taught many choirs in the Pittsburgh area. Ashantay’s first experience with Story Collective Church was when she attended their launch service. That’s when she knew God had called her to be a part of that church. Her walk with God has grown immensely since she joined. She has been worshiping with Story Collective for several months now and is excited to be able to call them her church home. She is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree at Berklee College of Music and plans to use her degree to become a music therapist and start her private practice.
Anyah Nancy
Anyah Nancy is an American jazz singer renowned for her soulful and rich tone. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, and nurtured in the church, her voice carries the profound influence of iconic vocalists like Nina Simone and Billie Holiday. Together with her band, Anyah masterfully blends traditional Black jazz with modern soul and R&B, creating a sound that is both timeless and contemporary.
Anyah's musical journey has been shaped by her studies at the African American Music Institute under the guidance of the acclaimed Dr. James Johnson. Her impressive performance record includes appearances at prestigious venues such as Con Alma, the August Wilson Center, Alphabet City, and The Three Rivers Arts Festival. Her talent has also taken her beyond the United States to the Clazz International Music Festival in Tuscany, Italy.
With over 160k streams on her social media platforms and a following of dedicated fans, Anyah's music is already making a significant impact. On the verge of transitioning from a local performer to an independent artist with an international reach, Anyah Nancy is set to release her debut album, “Sounds Like Honey” in the fall of 2025.
As she prepares for the release of her debut album, Anyah Nancy is poised to captivate a global audience with her unique blend of jazz, soul, and R&B. Her journey from Pittsburgh to the international stage is a testament to her talent, dedication, and the deep emotional connection she creates through her music. With "Sounds Like Honey" Anyah invites listeners to experience her soulful artistry and join her on this exciting new chapter of her career.
